Coronavirus Statement

We will be returning to our normal hours on Monday, May 4th. Our normal hours are:
Monday - Saturday: 9am - 8pm
Sunday: 1pm - 6pm

The State of Alabama made the call to close all "non-essential" businesses through April 17th. Pet stores were not included in this list, and because of that, we are going to continue to serve our customers and take every precaution available to keep people safe. Here is why we are keeping our doors open:

1️⃣ Grocery stores have a limited selection of pet supplies and do not have the inventory to support demand if pet stores were not operational.

2️⃣ Pet stores carry specialized food, supplements, and other equipment that millions of pets require. These items are necessary to provide safety, sustenance and medical care/treatment for household pets.

3️⃣ Pet stores carry items necessary for a variety of household pets including small animals, birds, reptiles, fish, and more that are not available at grocery stores.

4️⃣ Pet Depot houses and sells live animals - it is important that our staff be able to provide care for all animals housed in our stores.

In light of the uncertainty surrounding the spread of coronavirus/COVID-19, we want to take a moment to address concerns and ensure that we are taking every precaution to preserve the health and well-being of our community.

It is important to Pet Depot that we make every effort to keep our employees and customers safe. We are keeping a close eye on any information coming from the Centers for Disease Control and we are taking extra measures to keep our stores clean.

According to the World Health Organization, " there is no evidence that a dog, cat or any pet can transmit COVID-19. COVID-19 is mainly spread through droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or speaks. To protect yourself, clean your hands frequently and thoroughly."

Each Pet Depot location has been instructed to clean and disinfect surfaces near the register, countertops, screens, and phones daily. All employees have also been instructed to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer frequently. If you are not feeling well, we encourage you to stay home to avoid passing any illness on to others.

For more information on how to avoid exposure to COVID-19, please refer to the Centers for Disease Control at cdc.gov or the World Health Organization at who.int

Thank you for your efforts and understanding as we work to maintain a healthy retail environment for all.
